Globalization and Ecological Transition: where are European policies headed?
Conference organized in collaboration with Food Trend Foundation
The current geopolitical scenario, made more uncertain by the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, raises numerous questions about the future of globalization and the ecological transition objectives set by the European Union. In the global context of trade, the EU is the main player for both import and export of agri-food products and thanks to the trade policies implemented over the years (primarily free trade agreements), this role has been further strengthened. The conference represents an opportunity to take stock of the state of the art of international agricultural and food & beverage exchanges of the European Union and of the member countries (with a focus on Italy) and of the current trends in light of the continuous changes in the reference, trying to understand how globalization is evolving and how this evolution is in contrast or not with the objectives (and related impacts) of the European ecological transition.
